"Cabinetry" covers a wide range of options, from off-the-shelf stock boxes to fully custom builds. Here's where semi-custom cabinetry fits in, and what's worth thinking through before you order.
Stock cabinetry comes in a limited set of standard sizes and finishes, ready to ship quickly, with little room to adjust for an unusual layout. Full-custom cabinetry is built entirely to your specifications, any size, any finish, but takes longer and costs more. Semi-custom sits in between: a wide range of sizes, finishes, and storage features you can mix and match, built to order for your kitchen or bathroom, without the full custom price tag or timeline.
For most kitchen and bathroom remodels, semi-custom hits the sweet spot. You get real flexibility: adjustable widths, a wide range of door styles and finishes, and storage features like pull-out drawers. You're still working from an established line, which keeps lead times and pricing more predictable than a fully custom build.
Kemper is our primary semi-custom cabinetry line, and it's what we recommend for most kitchen and bathroom remodels. It offers a strong range of finishes and configurations that give Mark the flexibility to design around how you actually live, without the cost and lead time of a fully custom build. He measures your space himself and plans the cabinet layout before anything is ordered, so the cabinetry is drawn around your room rather than adapted to it afterward.
Cabinetry does not get scheduled on its own here. Ordering, countertops, backsplash and installation are sequenced together, which is what keeps the finishes coordinated and the trades from waiting on each other. Our Countertops & Cabinetry page covers the countertop side, and Our Process walks through the sequence from the first consultation to the final walkthrough.
The best way to figure out what fits your space is to walk through it together. We'll talk through your layout, storage needs, and finish preferences, and help you land on a cabinetry plan that works for your kitchen or bathroom and your budget.
Tell us about your kitchen or bathroom and we'll follow up personally, usually within one business day.
